The TEC 3008 website will be your "classroom" for this online course. Take a few minutes to explore the website to familiarize yourself with the layout of the "classroom".

Navigation: Top Row

Directly below the logo on every webpage in the course, you will notice four links that will:

Home: return you to the course homepage

Instructor: open an e-mail message addressed to the course instructor (assuming that your web browser is configured to respond to "mailto:" links). If it is not, the instructor's e-mail address is bjost@josts.net . You can use your regular e-mail software to address e-mail messages to the instructor.

Listserve: open an e-mail address addressed to the course listserve (assuming that your web browser is configured to respond to "mailto: links). If it is not, the course listserve address is tec3008@topica.com . You can use your regular e-mail software to address e-mail messages to the course listserve.

Web Discussion Board: open the course web discussion board located at http://www.josts.net/discus . You will use the web discussion board to submit several of your course assignments and read messages from the instructor and from your fellow course participants. The web discussion board has an excellent on-screen tutorial that you can read by clicking on "Getting Started".

Toolkit: open webpages that contains the hypertext links contained in the course modules. This webpage will be useful when you want to return to a link you explored earlier in the course and do not want to burrow down into the modules to find the link.

Navigation: Second Row

The second row of website navigation links will guide you through the course modules. You will notice that the top navigation row remains the same but that the second row changes to reflect each module's organization scheme.

Each module will open with an interactive syllabus that will guide you through the module. You will notice that the numbered links in the second row will change color as you complete an activity. This feature will assisting you in charting your progress through the module.

Navigation: Third Row

The third navigation row contains the title of the the specific activity in the module.
