Webpage Design Module Options


You have 5 options for completing the requirements of the Webpage Design Module. Click on the links below to view the detailed step-by-step tutorials for each of the options.

When you have decided which option you would like to use, send me <bjost@josts.net> an e-mail message informing me of your choice. Include the words "webpage design A" in the subject.

Option 1: Netscape Composer (Both Mac & PC users)

Recommended for course participants who already have the Netscape Communicator Suite installed on their computers or are willing to download and install the free software. Using the "what you see is what you get" HTML editor, course participants will create a personal website using templates.

Option 2: DiDa HTML Editor (PC Users only)

Recommended for course participants who would like to develop a basic understanding of HTML using a freeware text editor with a built in preview browser. Course participants will create a website with three curriculum specific webpages linked by a frontpage. Note: The software for this option is included on the course floppy disk that you received.

Option 3: HTML Web Weaver Lite Editor (Mac Users Only)

Recommended for course participants who would like to develop a basic understanding of HTML using a simple text editor. Course participants will use a shareware software application to create a website with three curriculum specific webpages linked by a frontpage.

Option 4: AOL Hometown Website (Mac & PC AOL Users Only)

Recommended for AOL users who would like to create a website using the online webpage design software available at AOL's Hometown. This option requires no additional software.

Option 5: Online Class Website Options (Mac and PC Users)

Recommended for educators who would like to create a class webpage using online webpage design software. This option requires no additional software.
