TeacherWeb Selecting this option will allow you to create an extensive class website using the service offered by TeacherWeb.com . Navigate to http://teacherweb.com Click on the Teacher Sites link to view the Features and view Teacher Site Examples. Note: TeacherWeb.com currently offers a 30 day free trial of their services. The annual subscription, if you decide to continue the service, is currently $39.00 per year. More details are available by clicking on the Pricing or Sign Up links. You do not need to provide a credit card number or other form of payment for the free trial. If you decide that the service looks like something that you would like to try, click on the Free Teacher Trial or Sign-Up links to get started. Follow the step-by-step instructions to create your Teacherwebsite. Print a copy of the page that appears after your Teacherwebsite is activated and record your password for future access. You will need this username and password every time you edit your Teacherwebsite. Extensive Help files are available by clicking on the Support link. If you decide to use this option, create your web page or website and customize to meet your specific needs. Be sure to include active hyperlinks to several of the age-appropriate and educationally relevant web resources that you have found while working on the second module of the course. Those clickable hyperlinks are, in my opinion, one of the primary reasons for having a classroom website. It is so much safer to have students start their online explorations with a clickable link to websites that have been previewed and selected by the teacher than to just turn them loose with a search engine or a complicated web address that has to be entered into the browser location bar.
