This site allows you to create worksheets on a variety of math skills. They also allow you to choose the difficulty level and the number of problems you want to have on a page. You can also create flash cards and play games.

2. Basketmath. Home page.

This is a great interactive site for kids. You can pick from over 20 math skills. They give you a series of problems, and if you type in the correct answer, you see a person shoot several baskets. If you type in the wrong answer, it tells you the correct answer, and it even gives you a mini lesson on how to solve the problem. You can also keep a record of your results.

This site offers a variety of articles about education, lesson plans, teaching masters (worksheets), and even a Web discussion board.

4. The U.S. Mint. 03/07/00.

This site offers information about the U.S Mint, coin production, the new state coins, the golden dollar, and much more. This site will be very helpful to teachers who do units on money.

This site is a great resource for teachers. The following categories are available: Internet Literacy - This teaches you about what Internet Literacy is and how to teach it to your students; Sample Lesson Plans; Teaching Resource - This teaches you how to teach search strategies, posts frequently asked search questions, and more; Yahooligans! Categories - This offers you a variety of curriculum areas

6. Yahooligans! The Web Guide for Kids. Yahoo! 1994- 2000.

This is a site designed for kids. Some of the categories offered are as follows: Arts and Entertainment, Sports and Recreation, and Around the World. This site can entertain children for hours and hours. They can play games, download high interest pictures, and choose from a variety of screensavers.

This is a site put together by Marty Levine, a Professor at California State University, Northridge. He has gathered lesson plans and resources from the Internet that Social Studies teachers can use.

This is an interactive site for primary aged students. You can create a picture, play educational games, download interactive cartoons, and much more. There are also resources available for parents and teachers.

This site is very user friendly. You click on a Holiday and then you have several different lesson plans to choose from.

11. Teachers' Net Lesson Bank.

This site has a long list of lesson plans to choose from, but they are not categorized in any particular way. All of the lesson plans I explored were very good. You can also visit a chat center or even check out job postings.

12. A to Z Teacher Stuff, L.L.C., 1999-2000. LessonPlanZ.com.

This site contained over 3,500 lesson plans! The categories were broken down into subject area and grade level. You could also explore thematic units and several worksheets and printable pages.

13. Core Knowledge Foundation, 2000. Core Knowledge.

"Core Knowledge is an idea that for the sake of academic excellence, greater fairness, and higher literacy, elementary and middle schools need a solid, specific, shared core curriculum in order to help children establish strong foundations of knowledge, grade by grade." This site offers many resources that support the "core Knowledge" idea, including lesson plans, and encourages teachers and schools to become involved in implementing this idea.

This is a third grade web page which lists several third grade topics of interest. For example, Deserts and Pioneer Life are two of the options. Each topic offers you the following:

This site is an excellent resource for parents, teachers, and students. You can create and print a customized word search, crossword puzzle or math puzzle. You can even create special mazes.
